The Vagad Gurukul International School is an ambitious project which emerged from
the benign thought of Shri Jethalal Nonghabhai Gada Vagad Education, Welfare
and Research Centre that work for the betterment of Community settled in
Mumbai. It was felt that schools and colleges amidst the dazzle of metro are not
able to provide the right environment for mental, physical, educational and spiritual
growth of students. Therefore a group of like-minded, wise men from the Vagad
Community contemplated the idea and meticulously nurture their thought.

From the Director's Desk
Life is no brief candle for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and
I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future
generations." Long ago, these beautiful words were said by George Bernard Shaw
and they are my source of inspiration. I joined the school at the beginning of the
session 2006 and it had been my endeavour to be an effective educational leader who
has to set an example to her team and guide the students under all circumstances.

As I enter into VGIS family, I would remain committed to setting higher goals for our students and fulfilling expectations of Parents as regard to all round development of students. To achieve the same I am asking each student to make a commitment to having PRIDE (Personal Responsibility in Daily Efforts) by being active participants in their learning and acting responsibly as an individual within our learning community. Doing so will enable all to have a successful and enjoyable school year..
